After borrowing a line drawing from the owner's manual, I proceeded to more accurately determine proportions of the shuttle as closely as a minivan could duplicate. I found an excellent coffee table book and combed it for external shots of the shuttle from every angle. Most importantly, I strove to match the shuttle's tailfin dimensions exactly while maintaining some degree of road worthiness. While the actual shuttle's tail is roughly as tall as the fuselage itself, I scaled ours down to 42" tall resulting in an overall height of 9'4". Tip-to-tip the tail would measure 7'4", the majority extending cantilever over the rear bumper.
