Tailfin & Thrusters
After sanding and shaping the tail to optimal proportions, fiberglass fabric and resin was applied for the outer shell. The pink foamboard boiled in the curing reaction, unlike the Styrofoam used in surfboards. This setback required the application of four 1-gallon buckets of plastic filler and numerous hours of additional shaping before paint.
