The upper body detail included the window white-out, a material often seen as printed busside billboards. The perforated vinyl matches the shuttle's color lines without reducing pilot visibility.
Another distinctive feature of the shuttle is the "keyhole", the access hatch for astronauts' entry and exit. Due to its much smaller size the keyhole on the ShuttleVan is known as the "cat door."
